We had the most wonderful Family Day weekend in Muskoka. Susan went out of her way to accommodate us on one of the busiest weekends of the year, and we were lucky enough to be staying in the house next door to Four Ninety (510), typically used for the retreat. It is a beautiful, very comfortable home, full of the most incredible artwork by its owner. You can tell it is a home that is truly loved – and we loved it too. Susan and Jeff were full of helpful tips on where to go and what to see, and the breakfasts – SO good! We can’t recommend staying here enough, and hope to be back again before too long.

490 B&B Hosts, Susan & Jeff, couldn't have been more gracious or hospitable. The accommodations exceed expectations as did the meals and informative conversation. We were made to feel "right at home" immediately. Having travelled extensively, we would confidently rate the breakfasts served at 490 on par with a host of 5 star hotel venues we have enjoyed.

What a wonderful bed and breakfast! We throughly enjoyed our stay. We are somewhat fussy about comfort and cleanliness and this place did not disappoint. Our bed was so comfortable and cozy. Everything was very clean and neat. The breakfast was amazingly tasty. Susan and Jeff are great cooks! Free wifi, Netflix, cozy bed, clean, great food, wonderful hosts. This would be a five star! Next time I'd love to come spend time on the beach which is in the park that backs on to this property. Pretty scenery.

Aaron and I took a road trip in July of 2015 and one of our stops was in Muskoka. We have never been to a Bed and Breakfast before, so we didn’t know what to expect; pleasantly surprised is an understatement. From Susan and Jeff’s warm welcome to their sad to see you go goodbyes and everything in-between!!! To elaborate, the Queen Lake View Room (private deck) was stunning with its design, amenities, and luxurious feel; we wanted for nothing. Next, was the well thought out breakfast that literally caught us off guard; the elegant placement of the table setting to the vast choices of the menu; superb. Their location, we could sit on our deck and look towards the serenity of Gull Lake or take a stroll through the adjacent park; it was picturesque. Also, everything Gravenhurst had to offer was a walk or short drive away. In the end, Susan and Jeff’s hospitality not only ensured a wonderful stay, but created a sense that we now have; a home away from home in Muskoka. Thanxs for everything, Aaron and Susan

We had a wonderful winter stay on January 24th and 25th! We enjoyed the Romantic Weekend Getaway. The food was amazing and we've been boasting about it ever since we left. We will definitely be back. Strongly recommend! Thank you Susan, Jeff and Sarah for a wonderful stay!

My husband and I planned a vacation for us and 2 our our friends from Germany to visit the beautiful Muskoka area. We were all delighted with 490 B&B. It was cozy, inviting and the food was absolutely delicious! Our first morning we had wonderful sweet French toast and the follow morning we had a savory salmon omelette. The location was perfect with the back yard practically right on the lake! It was so easy to get to town to enjoy the local activities. Our hosts Susan and Sarah (Susan's lovely Airedale) were fantastic. Susan had great recommendations on fun things to do in town. We visited the Saw Dust Brewing Co, the Oar & Paddle Restaurant and also went on a historical Segwun cruise. I would definitely recommend 490 for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Our second stay at 490 was fantastic! We came to take in the Steamship Blues Cruise which was a beautiful and fun filled night of music, good food and lovely scenery. Our host provided us with a room on the upper level with our own private balcony with a beautiful view of Gull Lake and mature pines in the quiet park just off the back yard. Our room was located just down the hall from our sand and sea hued luxury bathroom that was in keeping with the nautical décor of our room. Although we shared the bath with our hosts it was in no way an imposition to us as they were up and at it bright and early preparing a fine dining breakfast experience in the seasonally decorated dining room. Look forward to enjoying another visit to the Muskokas next summer. With luck this room will be available again to enjoy our delicious breakfast on the balcony in my robe!

My husband and I recently had a lovely and relaxing stay at the 490 B & B. The home, gardens and setting could not have been more beautiful! Our host, Susan Chute, was warm and welcoming and made us feel totally comfortable in her charming home. We had total privacy in our quiet, air conditioned bedroom with all the comforts and modern amenities one could ever wish for. The extra special touches Susan added to enhance our experience made this our favorite B & B experience to date. The large gourmet breakfast was not only delicious, but so beautifully presented. Oh yes, the most comfortable bed and bedding and best shower ever! Thank you again, Susan. We plan to stay with you again, hopefully soon!

The Four Ninety B & B exceeded all of our expectations. Susan & Jeff were incredible hosts. The gourmet breakfasts were extraordinary. We enjoyed a romantic dinner (we highly recommend). The King Garden Room was perfect for our needs. Both our room and private bathroom were immaculate. Susan's attention to detail is evident throughout this home. Sarah the Airedale Terrier (also know as the speed bump) is always happy to welcome you. We are looking forward to our next visit in the near future. Thanks!

We enjoyed our stay at Four Ninety, from the cloud-like bed, the amazing breakfasts (and the ever accomodating Susan), the quiet atmosphere and good rambling conversation with our hosts. We will definitely be back to see Susan, Jeff and Sarah in the future !

Our time at 490 is a bragging experience indeed. We were privileged to a special experience that included a intimate evening meal that I will only relate to fine dining at its best. The mushroom dish was magical indeed. Our room had a bed that was like a cloud....and believe me we stayed at Deer Hurst the next evening and they could not compare to the comfort of 490. I am going back if not to just enjoy Sue and Jeff, the view of Gull lake, Sue's beautiful gardens, the food and the sweet town of Gravenhurst. Thank-you Sue, Jeff and Sarah for such a wonderful evening. xo

We had a delightful time. Slept well in the beautifully appointed suite. The food was delicious and healthful. I fear we overstayed the morning with interesting conversation / delicious coffee around the table. Jeff managed admirably to serve food all the while navigating the "speed bump". We look forward to spending time here again on our next trip to G'hurst.

Marlene & Debbie Our stay at 490 B&B was amazing (and too short). Susan & Jeff were very gracious hosts. We felt like we were in quiet, casual luxury. The décor was beautiful. Our breakfast of smoked salmon croissants with fresh melon/mint juice was excellent. We felt very welcome and comfortable. Thank you for a great stay.
